About

Ryan C. DeNardis at a eurorack modular synthesizer.

Background

Upon graduating from Stony Brook University, I taught myself programming, launching a career in Software Test Engineering starting from 2014. Since then, I've held positions at FedEx, UPMC Enterprise, Uber ATG, and Aurora Innovation, among other institutions.

I've performed a wide distribution of tasks, including:

  • migrating and repairing databases
  • replacing components in student laptops
  • creating automated test suites in Cucumber and Ruby (and later Javascript and Python)
  • converting JMeter test cases into scripted alternatives
  • evaluating multiple open-source automation tools and standing one up for nightly task execution
  • writing and executing manual tests on a automated vehicles
  • designing and evaluating simulation testcases
  • and analyzing and reporting on cross-functional testcase performance to a large group of stakeholders

I play rock accordion with The Adorabulls on weekends, and build and record on synthesizer modules and logic CMOS instruments.

I live in Pittsburgh, PA with my wife, two boys, and three cats.
